Easter Weekend

K&K had a great Easter weekend! We started Friday afternoon by going to a Good Friday church service at St. Johns downtown. We had a wonderful time and made lots of memories! Saturday we had the third annual pie baking! This year we made butterscotch, blueberry, and easy easter [which is chocolate with easter candy] Sunday we gathered in with the familes and enjoyed a great easter dinner & egg hunt! The K&Kers enjoyed their Easter holiday!

Yes... we know its a little late but we wanted share our Thankgiving celebration memories with you. KandKand a third K went to the IMA. We saw Roman art from the Louvre (boring!) and then made our way to the third floor to see some amazing Dior dresses. Please enjoy these pictures we snapped during our visit. Enjoy!!

Donate to K&K! K&K always has a big Christmas party, But we decided that this year we should do something for our community. We decided that we would collect canned foods and clothes for the needy. You can also buy a K&K ornament for $5.00 towards charity. If you are interested please let us know through a comment and we will get back with you on this!!

K&K took a wonderful trip on Wednesday to the Indiana Museum of Art! This was a fantastic way to spend their Thanksgiving party! They also had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at White Castle!

We have been getting several comments from people who really do need to get a life! We are sorry to say that, but we need to uplift and edify one another, no matter how much we dislike someone!

K and K would like to apologize for our absence in the blogging world. K and K'ers have been busy and have higher priorities. This in no way reflects our ability to clean. We take great pride in our work and choose to focus on that. Please refrain from any negative comments, remember our company motto of edifying and uplifting.

Updates are sure to come during the holiday breaks. We will be hosting many holiday parties!

Hello to everyone who reads this! Many people have been asking us many different questions so we are going to answer them!
1- since k&k has been shopped out we are both in school... kim is majoring in interior design and that alone keeps her busy... kristen is still in high school and chemistry and algebra 2 are keeping her from updating the blog... the cleaners would all like you to remember them in prayers as they juggle school, social life, and cleaning!
2- have we been doing anything? yes! we have had a birthday party for kristen and we also had k&k night in fortville indiana last night! Liberty Quartet was here and we went to their concert! if you have not heard them before we encourage you to do so!
3- please continue to edify and uplift! this is our theme and it makes us happy to know that you do that!!
have a great life until we meet again in this blog!!!

We have been getting some pretty rude comments on our blog! Now I have a question for you! Do you go around leaving those comments on other blogs? Well I would hope not! It is RUDE to do that! But as a company I can understand that we are probably on the list to get made fun of because we put so many people out of business!
I just want to remind you that while you may be tempted to say rude things on our site it is not pleasing the Lord!
Answers.com defines edify -To instruct especially so as to encourage intellectual, moral, or spiritual improvement. I think this is something that we all need to work on, even the k&kers!

Friday July 20th marked the end of other great concert on the plaza season.

Happy Birthday to a very special worker, Kim!
She turned 22 on Friday! Tonight we had a party for her! She got many wonderful presents! She received Greys Anatomy 2, Shoes, a photo album w/ the pictures of camp, a laptop case, money, and lip gloss! We had chocolate cake from marsh with white cupcakes! Magic shell for the cherry ice cream or Turtle ice cream and it was a wonderful time!!
Happy Birthday Kim!!! We appreciate you here at K&K!We have pictures to post of the event but the computer once again is giving us trouble!! we are still working on the camp pics! don't loose hope!

Our day at Brown County Camp!

The bus got at Gnaw Bone just before 6:00 and the service started at 7... So we had plenty of time to move into our cabin! We rented a cabin from Carl and Margaret Greenwood. Thanks to them for the wonderful hospitality they showed towards us! We then had time to walk around and get to know everyone and look around at the camp! That night Mike and Donna Greenwood were sick so we had to take care of them in their sickness! Believe me its a good thing that everyone was there to help take care of them! We went to McDonald's after service and then after that we went to our cabin! Just to find out that none of the K&Ker's had brought contact solution... Back to the hotel we went... We probably kept everyone on the campground up for being in and out so late! We rose at about 7:15 the next day went back to the hotel to get ready for service. At 9 we went to Breakfast at camp and then morning service. After morning service the bus took us to Edinburgh outlet mall and Arby's. Then we hung out at camp again and then back to Nashville to look at the stores! At 6:30 Hobe Sound Bible College was there singing! It was truly a great day! Special thanks to all of those who came! If you couldn't come be sure to come next year!

A month or two ago the blog reported that a lady had been struck coming out of Big Lots! Well the man that ran over the lady has been charged! turns out he was under the infuluence of concaine and other things! Its a good thing that he was charged! I think all the k&kers should probably show support if they try to let him out on bail or something and go protest!!!

We will all be meeting at the campgrounds Tuesday evening and then rent out a cabin to stay in Tuesday night. There will be no bus service due to the holiday but we hope that you can make it!

Entertainment on the Plaza!!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful time!! this was the first one that the employees were able to attend!!! it was a blast!!! We were joyful as we heard the sounds of the Carribean! it was amazing! It was fun as we went to Ritters also! Kara and Kristen enjoyed strawberry smoothies. Kim enjoyed a gummy worm glaicer and thanks to buy one get one free coupons and so we got Bryan a chocolate one... Kristen had to lick a lot of it b/c it was melting very quickly!!!! This was a huge success and we look forward to attending in the future!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all K&Ker's for their work this week on the rooms they were assigned to clean! We are happy that you all got your rooms clean this week and think that we should plan something soon!!! We have yet to have a big turnout at the plaza but that should change soon and very soon! also thanks to all K&K cleaners who showed their support today at the Hobe Sound concert! Everyone showed up!!!! Keep up the good work on the cleaning!!!

Wright Brothers this week...

Just wondering how many K&K'rs would like to go see the wright brothers (not affiliated with the wright sisters) this Friday evening on the plaza? I don't remember seeing them in the past, although I believe they are the most popular and probably draw the biggest crowd. Today is the big night of Entertainment on the Plaza! The poll website wasn't working to well for me last night so I guess we can just decide tonight!! Just a reminder to all k&kers that you all need to bring a chair... call me if you need one! I have plenty! Off bc we don't want the bugs getting us! and $2.00 for the bus ride and also money to eat! the long weekend

It was a fun weekend for K&K'rs. From early Saturday morning until Monday night it was am weekend full of festivities:

At 7 am Saturday morning the alarm clock rang to begin a fascinating day for K&K'rs. We had decided to spend the Saturday morning "garage saleing." We thought going to garage sales might be a fun thing to do... and maybe find a bargain or two. We even found a professional driver to drive so we wouldn't have to worry about getting lost. (Not that we would have) Well, maybe we picked the wrong garage sales but it was a big bust! Some... well most... of the homes were pretty dirty. One K&K'r went the whole day without touching a single thing! And most the other K&K'rs were pretty jealous of that. While some thought they were going to buy a treasure for a quarter the majority of what we saw was worthless junk! In the end only the driver made a purchase.

On Sunday many K&K'rs attended an Indy 500 viewing party. (Note: It was not a K&K planned party, we were just invited) We all had mixed feeling about the race results but were happy to see Dario win!

Memorial Day brought us together again! We had a picnic with K&K and family!
We enjoyed playing the states game as it was the one year anniversary of its invention! Then we gathered around the table to enjoy the traditional picnic foods, followed by a massive amounts of dessert! Then we all gathered in the yard to play WHIFFLE BALL! Some of us look foward to playing whiffle ball all year! Maybe because we are amazing... but a fun time was had by all. At least I think everyone had fun! We again carried out the company motto of uplifting and edifing onto the whiffle ball field. That went over very well and some even made up edifying cheers! We played another game as well but I do not remember the name of it. It was also a great deal of fun!

Well, it was a great weekend indeed and all K&K'rs are hoping to repeat it again with the opening of the concert on the plaza this weekend!

In the past K&K has celebrated the season finally of American Idol by getting together and having a party. This year because of many different schedules, and the fact that its on a week night we just won't be able to. Since I know many K&Kers out there are heartbroken I included a poll on the blog today so we can see who is the fan favorite.

I am sure that you are wondering what is K&K? Well K&K started out as a cleaning company but branched out as basically a little bit of everything after we got "shopped out!" K&K has many many things that they do! They try to plan a party every month to keep themselves social with each other! They go to the annual Entertainment on the Plaza at least once or twice every summer... I know you are thinking what is this? Well this is an awesome concert every Friday night of the summer! We have gone for 2 years and are excited to be going this year! We normally go somewhere before or after... once we went to the rootbeer stand and then last year we went to the old fashion soda fountain! It was indeed an amazing time!! We also have a night at Brown County Holiness Camp! That is truly wonderful! We bake pies every easter, cook for our mothers on mother's day, a party just about every month,a Miss America Pary and of course we clean!! Attached are some pictures of the K&K staff!

Big Worries at Big Lots

Big Lots

We had a very close call today as one of our favorite places to go, Big Lots, was surrounded by ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars. There was even a stretcher spotted! So as the ever faithful K&K event planner quickly took control of the situation by texting all K&Kers. There were many rumors spreading like wildfire since the real information was still unknown. Some talked of shootings, illnesses etc. You can just imagine the panic that went thought our hearts and minds... What if some beloved Big Lots employee was hurt! Would the store close? We did not know what to do or where to turn. Well again, the event planner, so calm in the midst of much panic, took the bull by the horn and called Big Lots. She had no clue what would happen as she dialed the numbers and listen to those rings. Would there be screams of terror on the other end? Would anyone even by alive to answer? Finally, someone picked up... and the conversation went a little something like this:

Big Lots: Hello

Event Planner: Hi, is everything ok at Big Lots?

Big Lots: Yes? Why do you ask?

Event Planner: We saw lots of firetrucks and ambulances there a few minutes ago.

Big Lots: Oh! It was a car accident outside the store.

Event Planner. Oh, ok. Thank you.

Alas! Our favorite bargain store is safe and sound!
